Education Quality Policy

The Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering puts great emphasis on ensuring the highest possible quality at all levels and forms of education. In accordance with Regulation No. 10/2019 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology of February 19, 2019 on determining the method of establishing, principles of functioning and organization of the Study Field Councils and the IFE Program Council at Lodz University of Technology, four Councils were established at the Faculty to ensure care for the proper implementation and high level of education in a given field of study.

     The main tasks of the Study Field Councils are as follows:

1.    Preparation and improvement of the concept of the field of study.

2.    Developing a draft study program for the field of study and exercising substantive supervision over the implementation of the study program.

3.    Cooperation with university-wide units implementing part of the education program.

4.    Cooperation with the IFE Program Council in the scope of developing a draft study program for the field of study implemented at IFE and implementing resolutions adopted by the IFE Program Council.

5.    Analysis of trends and needs in the field of education in a given field.

6.    Improvement of the study program and the quality of education in the field, including the analysis of the results of surveys and class observations.

7.    Stimulating the use of new/creative learning methods in the study programme.

8.    Giving opinions on candidates for supervisors and topics of diploma dissertation theses.

9.    Cooperation with the socio-economic environment, including:

1) obtaining the opinions of external stakeholders on the study program and the level of professional preparation of graduates;

2) cooperation in the organization of internships.

10.  Preparing and submitting for approval to the Vice-Rector for education the annual quality of education report for the field of study.

11.  Preparation of reports for accreditation.

12.  Substantive supervision over the diploma process.

13.  Internationalization in the scope of education.

14.  Organization and supervision of mentoring at the second cycle of studies.

15.  Preparation of information for admissions and promotion.

     The Faculty systematically conducts activities related to the creation and improvement of procedures and mechanisms in the field of quality assurance of education and monitoring, evaluation (m.in evaluation surveys, class observations), as well as corrective and preventive actions to eliminate imperfections.
